Culture at FCC is something we all own; we are all ambassadors, and we expect high standards! Our team not only demonstrate our ethical values daily through their work but are proactive in identifying innovative ideas that improve the outcomes of the children in our care and our charity.

We have an inclusive work environment where each person is considered an individual and given a voice. We work hard to provide a sense of security, fulfilment and purpose, alongside supporting your health and well-being. Our recruitment practice puts the safety of children and equal opportunity at the centre of our decision making.

Our culture of being child centred, inclusive, ethical and working in partnership, is the foundation for how, together, we’ll make a real difference to the lives of children and communities across the midlands, eastern and northern England.

Working for The Foster Care Charity means you get the opportunity to change the lives of children and families, every day. But, in addition to this, we also offer our team:

FCC offers a supportive working environment, with an integrated approach to employee health and wellbeing, bringing more engagement and commitment from our team. We offer remote contracts of employment for Social Workers (who are based regionally across England) and hybrid working arrangements for all other staff.

All FCC employees have regular opportunities to meet (face to face and via online platforms) to share experiences and keep each other updated, alongside our all-staff biannual face-to-face ‘strategic away day’.

Are you a qualified and experienced Social Worker, with at least 3 years work experience within a fostering charity, local authority or independent agency?

Do you hold the same values we do? Are you driven by making a difference?

We recruit SSW’s across England, who are confident working independently and remotely (with managerial support) across their designated region.

A supportive and caring community

"Great things happen when we work together. As people, it is the differences that bring us closer together, from championing the children and carers in our care, to cherishing a culture that puts the needs of children at the heart of our decision making. "

"When you join FCC, the work you do can touch thousands of lives across the country. When you apply your talent to our charitable purpose, there’s no end to the lifelong impact we can make together. And that changes everything."
